Writing this paper was a bit difficult for me, I had to analyze a piece of writing without really using my opinion which was the complete opposite of our last assignment. The target of this assignment was to explain what I thought the author’s purpose for the short story without using “I”, which was extremely difficult to me. So I rewrote and rewrote, I started off by using “I” and after writing it I figured out ways to take away as much “I’s” as  possible. Understanding the true meaning of the short story took a few readings. The first time I read the story I did not quite understand what the meaning was probably because I was not as focused the first time reading.Being that I didn’t understand the story right away I started writing my summary to the short story before the actual meaning of the story. While writing the summary I had to keep in mind that I was taking up most of my paper writing a summary about the short story, but that J was writing equally, if not more about what the story was about. The second time I read it I was beginning to understand it, and finally the third time I finally could start writing about what this story was about. In order to write what the story was about, I went through the assignment and made sure I responded to most of the questions that needed to be answered. With my peers and professors corrections, I changed most of the things I was suggested to, and added those things as well.
